The night before our Kelowna flight, Sandy and I checked into the River Rock to keep things easy and stress‑free. Bags packed, boarding passes ready, and that pre‑trip excitement kicking in. Instead of wandering too far, we decided to treat ourselves and head over to Miku for dinner — a little calm, a little luxury, and one last Vancouver meal before takeoff.
Once we sat down, we kept it simple. I went straight for the Sablefish, because if a place like Miku can’t nail that, nothing else matters. Sandy stuck with her favourite — sushi — a mix of rolls and a couple of their Aburi pieces. Between the two plates, it felt like the perfect split: one warm, rich, melt‑in‑your‑mouth dish and one fresh, clean, classic sushi lineup. Like Ive said , I love my Sablefish and this was as good as it gets. Shared a pretty great salad as well.
